To us the Christ Child is born

Dear Friends,

Unto us a child is born, unto us the Christ is come. Not just to Mary and Joseph, a small group of shepherds and wise men from the east, not just to the disciples, not just to Mary, Martha, Mary Magdalene, Peter, James and John.

To us the Christ Child is born, that message of Christmas. Wherever and whatever community we-live in there the Christ Child is born. He is born in our hearts and minds. The light comes and the darkness cannot subdue it. This light shows the way, uncovers that which is hidden, dispels darkness, brings warmth and hope to you and me and to the world. We can We can turn our backs, shut our eyes but we will not be able to extinguish the light for the light will creep into the darkness of our lives to bring comfort, peace and hope, for unto us Christ is born. Christmas is not something that happens to other folks... but unto us Christ is come. It is into my darkness that Christ's light shines. Thanks be to God for God's indescribable gift. (2Cor 9:15)
