Martha's Table

Martha's Table distributes 1,500 sandwiches throughout the city to the homeless every day, and they can use as many sandwiches as we make.

On the 3rd Sunday of every month, we'll meet at the church kitchen to assemble sandwiches. They need two kinds of sandwiches: (1) bologna & cheese on whole wheat bread with no mayonnaise or butter on them; and (2) peanut butter & jelly on whole wheat. Each sandwich must be separately wrapped in a baggie. If we like, we can enclose those small packets of mayo or mustard with the bologna & cheese sandwiches.

Each teenager can bring a loaf of bread and either peanut butter & jelly or bologna & cheese.
Adults can take turns leaving the sandwiches off at Martha's Table, which is located at 2114 14th St., near the intersection of 14th & V Streets, N.W. The sandwiches must arrive by 6PM and will be distributed the next day.

Our first Sunday will be April 20.
